Cute and Cuddly

Here are a few shots of three animals that are high on my cute list: the giant panda, the koala, and the red panda. Though not related species, they all have the appeal of a perfect stuffed animal, made to be snuggled. It would not, of course, be a good idea to try to hug a real, live panda - they are bears, after all, and have very sharp teeth and claws. Koalas and red pandas are more tolerant of having people in their enclosures, but I've been told by koala keepers that being held is not their favorite thing. So, I will be content with appreciating their exceptional cuteness through the lens of my camera, and cuddle them in my dreams!
