Karroo the Cheetah - from October 2010
Remembering Karroo... Karroo was the first cheetah I ever had the thrill of seeing in person and up close. And what a lasting impression she made! There’s nothing like being in the midst of the beauty and regal elegance of a cheetah to make you fall in love with the animal and forever hold dear the entire species. As an animal ambassador at the San Diego Zoo, she made an impact on a tremendous amount of people who’s hearts grew larger for the care of all wildlife because they were fortunate enough to meet her. If I’m very quiet, I can still hear her purr… Karroo 9/29/00 - 6/30/15
