Bontebok Baby

Another new arrival! This little guy was born on Sunday, June 15th. This is the first time I’ve seen a baby Bontebok. Though they are antelopes, he reminds me of a baby deer, with those spindly legs and that endearing innocent look. It won’t be long before he’ll be growing his own set of impressive spiraled horns like his mom’s - both male and female Bonteboks have them. He might soon have a playmate, too, since the other female Bontebok is also expecting!
