Crouching Cougar

Koya, the female mountain lion was tucked safely in her cave, when she looked up and her eyes met mine. From within the darkness, her face was illuminated, beautifully feline and rich in subtle tones. In her gaze, I felt the power she held at bay in that moment of stillness. I was mesmerized by the quiet connection and tasted the strength of the wild cat within.
