Karroo and Kristina

I got the chance to see Karroo, the South African cheetah, with Kristina yesterday at San Diego Zoo’s Jungle Bells. I’ve loved Karroo for many years! She turned 14 years old this last September, and has become well known as an amazing animal ambassador. It’s hard to imagine how many people she’s influenced over the years, giving them the chance to learn about cheetahs and have a personal appreciation they couldn’t have known without her. Thanks to Kristina and all the keepers & trainers that do such wonderful work!
