Ramil, the Snow Leopard

I finally got my first photos of Ramil, the very handsome 3 year old snow leopard at the San Diego Zoo. He went on exhibit for the first time soon after the new Asian Leopard exhibit opened in June. It is hoped that he will be a breeding partner for the younger snow leopard, Penny, when she’s a bit older. It’s a privilege to see these magnificent creatures with my own eyes! The snow leopard is an endangered species that lives in the high mountains of Central Asia, but is rarely seen. They’re Impressive cats, both in beauty and strength - they are able to leap up to 30 feet! To see them is to love them!
