Harriet's Little Girl

On June 6th, a new baby giraffe was born at the San Diego Zoo. It amazes me that after dropping about 6 feet to the ground at birth, a giraffe calf is usually up and walking around within an hour. I saw her the day after she was born, and she was not only steady on her feet, but walking with gracefull ease. Already over 6 feet tall, she looks like a miniature of her mom, Harriet. Pretty adorable!
