The Continuing Adventures of Valerio the Jaguar Cub

These are some shots I took less than a week after Valerio’s first experience outside. It’s amazing how quickly he seemed to master climbing up to even the higher branches! He’s a courageous little cub and pretty agile considering how short and stalky he is at this stage. His mom, Nindiri, seems relaxed as she lets him explore, but makes it known when she doesn’t agree with his plans. He’s learning and growing, and each day is full of new experiences. These are exciting times!
