Venturing a Bit Further

Venturing a Bit Further

I got my first peek at the newborn African serval at the San Diego Zoo a few days ago, and I was overwhelmed with cuteness! Not quite a month old, he’s already an active little guy, exploring his surroundings with exuberance, although still a bit wobbly on those short little legs. Every now and then he would repeatedly wag his tail, feeling especially pleased with himself! Looks like he’s going to keep his mom, Onshe, on her toes! She’s being an excellent mother, checking in with him often and giving him kisses. He looks like he’s got a healthy amount of baby fat, so he must be eating well. I had never seen a serval cub before, and this little cutie was worth the wait!
