Wings of Spring

Whenever I see a butterfly appear, my heart beats a little faster, and I have to smile. So delicate and whimsical, like colorful fairies made of pixie dust. The reality of how they come to life is fascinating: from egg, to caterpillar, to chrysalis, and then emerging into a beautiful butterfly.
To see just one is enchanting, but imagine being surrounded by hundreds, a variety of colors and sizes fluttering around you. They take turns landing on nearby flowers, and sometimes you! That's the Butterfly Jungle experience at Safari Park. I got to enjoy it twice this spring. It's over for this year, but I can't wait to experience it all over again next year!
